This project fosters the development of environmental education opportunities in the four Lutheran schools in the West Bank. The environmental clubs as the schools allow students to learn about environmental issues in an interactive way, experience the Palestinian environment first-hand, and develop their capacity to protect the environment and become leaders in their communities. The EEC also visits the Lutheran schools to provide education on a variety of topics, from waste management to biodiversity. These class visits give students an opportunity to learn more and ask questions about topics that wouldn’t normally be covered in their curriculum.
